Doug Peters

President

Doug started his printing career as a young boy inserting papers into envelopes at home. At the shop he progressed to running folders and wrapping packages in the Eagle Street plant. When he was in High School, his Father gave him more tasks to learn. One summer delivering product, next working in pre-press shooting film and making plates. After that, he ran an AB Dick 360 to get his fingers into the ink.
After High School, he decided to attend College at RIT and following in his family’s footsteps.
After Graduating from RIT with a BS degree in Printing Management in 1982, his printing career began. His first title was Vice President. After joining Dad in the office, I learned how to write up orders, purchase paper and prepress materials, do estimates and call on customers. We had an immediate growth spurt in my first few years working with Dad. It was in 1984 that we decided to expand the physical plant. We moved the bindery out of the pressroom and into their own room. We replaced every piece of bindery equipment (cutters, folders, inserters/trimmers) in my first 5 years. During that time, we also modernized the pre-press department. Typesetting was changing very rapidly, until it is where it is today. Electronic pre-press is something we couldn’t envision but we quickly moved in that direction.
Dad retired in 1994 and Doug was on his own. I never liked working without Dad, so, even in retirement I kept him involved. Every summer Mom and Dad would come “home” and Dad would continue to “teach” me how things were done. These life lessons are still in practice now that Mom and Dad have passed on in 2016 and 2018 respectfully.
He has a daughter, Haley, who resides in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Donald started his career at the grand old age of 6 at his father’s business in a London suburb. After completing his Education in Printing Management and working many years in the family business, he took on a position with a large magazine printer in Los Angeles, CA where he eventually earned the role of vice president. He moved to the East Coast in 1993 taking on a General Manger position of a large web printing company in Utica, NY. In 2010, he joined T.C. Peters Printing Company. It is a good match as both T.C. Peters and Donald find great value and satisfaction in providing good old customer service. Donald’s family has continued to grow and flourish in the rural setting of central New York State. Now in the twilight of his career, he looks forward to spending time with his grown children, grandchildren and “tinkering around the house!”
